Remembrance Day 2019 in Brampton

​BRAMPTON, ON (October 30, 2019) – This year, Remembrance Day takes place on Monday, November 11. As a result, a number of City services will be unavailable or will operate under reduced service levels.

Brampton City Hall will be closed on November 11. Residents will not be able to apply in person for marriage licences, book civil wedding ceremonies, pay parking fines, apply for permits, or apply for or renew business licences during this time.

Several services will continue to operate normally, including Fire and Emergency Services and City of Brampton By-law Enforcement.

Residents can call 311 or 905.874.2000 (outside of Brampton), or email 311@brampton.ca for any inquiries. We are available 24/7 for any City of Brampton or Region of Peel matters, including parking, garbage collection, recreation programs and more.

Residents and visitors are invited to join the City of Brampton and Royal Canadian Legion Branches 15 and 609 for Remembrance Day events across the city.

Brampton Transit

Brampton Transit will follow the below schedule for the Remembrance Day weekend.

• Friday, November 8: Weekday service
• Saturday, November 9: Saturday service
• Sunday, November 10: Sunday/Holiday service
• Monday, November 11 (Remembrance Day): Weekday service

Customer Service counters at all terminals will be open. The Clark and Sandalwood facilities will be closed on Remembrance Day.

War veterans ride free on Brampton Transit on Remembrance Day. A veteran can be identified by producing a Brampton Transit “War Veteran Pass” or any of the following items: medals, berets, a uniform, a blazer, or other means of identification

Brampton Recreation

Most recreation facilities are open over the Remembrance Day weekend. For updated drop-in program schedules and hours of operation, call your local recreation centre or 311, or visit www.brampton.ca/recreation. The City’s Recreation Administration Office will be closed on Remembrance Day.

Brampton Animal Services

Brampton Library

All Brampton Library branches will be closed on Remembrance Day.
