City of Brampton revises New Year's Eve programming due to extreme cold weather

​BRAMPTON, ON – The City of Brampton has reduced programming for its New Year’s Eve celebrations due extreme cold weather conditions.

Revised Schedule of Events: 7 pm to Midnight

7 – 11 pm  Fun, family-friendly programming including a kids dance party and craft station will take place in City Hall’s atrium and conservatory.

11 pm – 12 am  Garden Square’s Main Stage entertainment featuring The Sheepdogs and Pryde and hosted by Z103.5's Scott Fox and the Bramptonist will run from 11 pm until midnight.

There will be Transit warming buses available on Main Street North. The Rose Theatre will also offer a warming station.
12 am  Fireworks over the Rose Theatre

*Please note that the 9 pm fireworks have been cancelled.

**Please note that fireworks are weather dependent. The City will continue to monitor conditions and update through social media channels.

Revised Road Closures
Main Street: 10 pm to 1 am
  • Queen Street to Nelson Street East
  • Queen Street to Wellington Street East
Queen Street: 10 pm to 1 am
  • Main Street to George Street
  • Main Street to Chapel Street/Theatre Lane
Those attending the event are advised to dress appropriately for the weather. The City will continue to monitor weather conditions over the next 24 hours and make further adjustments, if necessary.
