BRAMPTON, ON: In support of a prosperous and culturally vibrant community, the City of Brampton is undertaking the development of Brampton’s first Culture Master Plan to set the vision and strategic direction for arts and culture in this city. When the plan is complete in June 2018, it will guide the delivery of municipal cultural services and investments for the next 10 years.
Development of the plan will include significant research throughout the fall and engagement with Brampton residents, artists, cultural organizations, civic leaders, visitors and all stakeholders in early 2018. Following a competitive Request for Proposals process that took place over the summer, industry experts Lord Cultural Resources and Nordicity have been retained as the consulting team to lead research and community engagement, alongside a community-based Steering Committee who will provide expertise, represent diverse interests and oversee the plan’s development.
