​​​​​​Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton, members of Council and community partners invite members of the media to an in-person groundbreaking event to kick off construction of the City’s new cricket pitch that will open in June 2024 at County Court Park. 

As the cricket capital of Canada, the City’s naturalized field and pitch will provide a space for youth to enhance their cricket skills while promoting active and healthy lifestyles. The field will welcome leagues this summer, contributing to the expansion of Brampton’s cricket amenities.

Members of the media are invited to witness the turning of the soil on the new cricket field for a photo opportunity.
