The Centre for Canadian-Assyrian Relations is proud to present the 2nd annual Christmas in Assyria Concert! Once again, we will be showcasing talented Assyrian artists and performers in this spectacular show.

This year features a star studded lineup including the legendary Evin Agassi, the young superstar Janelle Yausif, and world renowned poet Marina Benjamin. Also gracing the stage among us will be the talented Dawod Barkho, Clara Shino, Roubina Shamoil, and CCAR's very own Stella Rezgo!

This years show will honour the remarkable 45-year singing career of Evin Agassi. The man who brought us such famous songs like "Khazadeh" and "Khabour" will continue his 45-year celebration tour with his stop at Christmas in Assyria.

We will also be presenting the first ever "Assyrian-Canadian of the Year Award"to a person nominated by you! We had a nomination form available all year on our website and we received an amazing response and several wonderful nominations. But there can only be one! Come out on Sunday, December 11 to find out who won!

Finally, CCAR is well aware of the needs of the Assyrian community in Canada. We strive to fill those needs and make our community prosper. As such, we are thrilled to announce that the proceeds from this event will be put towards the building/purchase of a desperately needed community centre in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area!
