Want to save time on Voting Day? Check the Voters’ List now.

Brampton, ON – The City of Brampton is asking all eligible voters to make sure they are on the Voters’ List. Eligible voters must be on the Voters’ List in order to vote in the 2018 Brampton Municipal Election.

The process is simple. Visit the City’s website, click on “Am I on the Voters’ List” and enter your name, date of birth and address to check if you are on the list. You can verify or update your information online, or register to be added if your name is not on the list. Online registration will be available until 11:59 pm on October 13.

Eligible voters can also visit the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall to check if they are on the Voters’ List and complete an Application to Amend the Voters’ List form, if required. Voters can also complete the form at any advance voting location, or on Voting Day.

“Having an up-to-date Voters’ List is beneficial to all voters. It saves time for voters and enables a smoother voting process,” said Peter Fay, City Clerk and Returning Officer for 2018 Brampton Municipal Election. “I’m requesting all eligible voters – whether they voted in the previous Election, have recently moved to Brampton, or will be turning 18 years of age before October 22 – to check if they are on the Voters’ List.”

You are eligible to vote if you are a Canadian Citizen, at least 18 years of age on Voting Day, and reside in Brampton (or you or your spouse are the owner or tenant of property in Brampton).
