​Music, film and culture from the GTA’s northwest converge at NXNE

BRAMPTON, ON – On June 15, Brampton will take over iconic live music venue the Rivoli in Toronto with a showcase of some of the most exciting, budding artists who call Brampton home. This is a first-ever partnership with world-leading music festival, North by Northeast (NXNE), as part of its Tastemakers Club Land Series. This is an exciting testament to the thriving music scene in the city. 

Hosted by multi-platinum music producer EestBound, who has produced tracks with Travis Scott, Young Thug and many more, the lineup was curated with the help of Noyz (recording artist), Denise Jones (artist management for Exco Levi), and Erin Ashley (Hip Hop Editor, NOW Magazine) to represent some of Brampton’s most exciting, soon-to-be-signed emerging talent.

The event will also coincide with highly anticipated world premiere of “Superfly” – a remake of the 1972 classic, re-imagined by Brampton’s own and newest inductee to the Arts Walk of Fame, Director X.   New music from the soundtrack which includes “Walk on Minks” and “No Shame,” produced by award-winning rapper Future, will be played during the This Is Brampton showcase in celebration of Director X’s success.
