Same great market, same great location

Downtown Brampton Farmers’ Market scheduled for Main Street in 2018

BRAMPTON, ON – The 2018 Downtown Brampton Farmers’ Market is set to open Saturday, June 16, and will run until Labour Day, Saturday, September 1, from 7 am to 1 pm on Main Street in Downtown Brampton.

It will be followed by the 2018 Harvest Market which will see an early start to the season on Saturday, September 8 – one week after the Labour Day long weekend. The Harvest Market will take place in a new location this year – Rosalea Park (Ken Whillans Drive and Church Street East) – and will run until Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 8 am to 1 pm.

The reason for these changes is the Downtown Reimagined project that is being undertaken in coordination with the Region of Peel. This project will replace aging infrastructure such as watermains and sewers, and will revitalize the downtown streetscape. Project construction is anticipated to start in fall 2018. The revised start date allowed this year’s Farmers’ Market to remain on Main Street North and South, until September 1.
