2018 Community Grant Program: Additional information session dates offered

​BRAMPTON, ON – Additional information session dates are being offered to Brampton-based not-for-profit organizations and registered charities interested in applying for municipal funding through the 2018 Community Grant Program.

The priority of the Community Grant Program is to support community activities that focus on celebrating Brampton’s diverse communities while encouraging engagement and connections with an end goal of heightening civic pride.

The following dates and times have been added:

Information Session Dates

Thursday, January 11
10 am – 12 pm
Greenbriar Recreation Centre – Community Room

Friday, January 12
10am - 12pm
Chris Gibson Recreation Centre – Craft Room

Friday, January 12
1pm - 3pm
FCCC Sport Administration Building E, Room #3

About the Grant Program funding streams and amounts

Festivals & Sport Events
o New Festivals - 50% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $12,500
o Established Festivals - 50% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $65,000
o Sport Events - 50% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $65,000
Arts & Culture Capacity Building
o 50% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $12,500
Recreation Capacity Building
o 50% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $12,500
Neighbourhood Initiatives – opened January 1 and may be applied to the first day of each month to the end of the calendar year.
o Up to $1,000 in matching funds

Interested organizations that meet the general criteria outlined are encouraged meet with the Community Grant Advisor through an appointment process. Program information can be found online here.
