Remembrance Day - November 11

Lest We Forget  

Brampton Transit will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Remembrance Day. Customer Service Counters at the Terminals will be open. Our Clark and Sandalwood facilities will be closed, including our Lost and Found. The Contact Centre is available to assist you from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm at 905.874.2999. 

War veterans ride free on Brampton Transit on Remembrance Day. A veteran can be identified by producing a Brampton Transit Veteran Pass or any of the following items:  
  • Medals
  • Berets
  • Uniform 
  • Blazer 
  • War Veteran Pass or service papers    ​
City Council and Brampton Transit are proud to honour the accomplishments and sacrifices of all Canadian Armed Forces members all year round. Veterans who are residents of Brampton can ride Brampton Transit for free when they show their valid Brampton Transit Veteran Pass upon boarding.​ Click here to learn more.

CLOSURE ALERT: Downtown Terminal Customer Service Counters Temporarily CLOSED

Effective Tuesday, October 14, 2025, until further notice, the Downtown Terminal Customer Service Counters will be temporarily closed. The terminal building will remain open to provide access to the washrooms. Bus services will continue to operate as scheduled.

To load your PRESTO card, visit prestocard.ca​ or visit the Bramalea or Brampton Gateway Terminals.

Next Ride Application Shut Down

Effective Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the Next Ride application will no longer be active to provide real-time next bus information for Brampton Transit bus stops.  ​

Argo On-Demand Testing is Underway

Brampton Transit in partnership with Argo have begun testing of Argo’s fully electric Smart Routing™ transit system, a pilot that will augment existing Brampton Transit routes with on-demand service in the downtown area, making it easier than ever to take Brampton Transit and GO Transit with PRESTO.

Residents will see Argo buses in the downtown area during this testing period.

Temporary stop changes due to underground parking construction at 8 Nelson Street West

Effective Wednesday, August 13, 2025 until further notice, due to critical repairs at the 8 Nelson Parking Garage, the Downtown Transit Terminal South Pla​tform will be closed during Phase 1 of construction. The following Brampton Transit route stops will be relocated to temporary on-street bus stops for: ​

1. Route 501 Züm Queen Eastbound - Temporary Stop on George Street, south of Nelson Street 
2. Route 1/1A Queen Eastbound - Temporary Stop on George Street, north of Nelson Street

During this time, the north platform will remain open for buses and riders. Signage will be posted to help riders navigate temporary stop locations.

As this work is being completed in a phased approach, additional closures may occur.​
