Temporary stop changes due to underground parking construction at 8 Nelson Street West

Effective Wednesday, August 13, 2025 until further notice, due to critical repairs at the 8 Nelson Parking Garage, the Downtown Transit Terminal South Pla​tform will be closed during Phase 1 of construction. The following Brampton Transit route stops will be relocated to temporary on-street bus stops for: ​

1. Route 501 Züm Queen Eastbound - Temporary Stop on George Street, south of Nelson Street 
2. Route 1/1A Queen Eastbound - Temporary Stop on George Street, north of Nelson Street

During this time, the north platform will remain open for buses and riders. Signage will be posted to help riders navigate temporary stop locations.

As this work is being completed in a phased approach, additional closures may occur.​



Civic Holiday - Holiday Service

​Brampton Transit will be operating on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday, August 4. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 7 am to 9 pm at 905.874.2999. 

Customer Service counters at the terminals will be closed. Clark and Sandalwood Facilities, including Lost and Found, will be closed.

Route 31/31A McVean Service Update

Effective Monday, July 14, Brampton Transit will introduce a new route variant, Route 31A McVean, to maintain transit service to the Bloomsbury Avenue area during major construction. This updated service is in response to a road widening project on Goreway Drive, which will result in a full road closure between Richgrove Drive and Countryside Drive. 

Route 31 McVean will continue to service Gordon Randle Drive but will not operate west of Gordon Randle Drive along Countryside Drive to Bloomsbury Avenue. The existing schedule will remain unchanged. Below stops will not be in service: 
  • Southbound Gordon Randle Drive at Countryside Drive (bus stop# 3963) 
  • Westbound Countryside Drive at Stanley Carberry Drive (bus stop# 3964) 
  • Southbound Goreway Drive at Countryside Drive (bus stop# 2282) 
  • Southbound Goreway Drive at Jacksonville Drive (bus stop # 2763) 
  • Northbound Bloomsbury Avenue at Jacksonville Drive (bus stop# 2765) 
  • Eastbound Jacksonville Drive at Goreway Drive (bus stop# 1329) 
  • Eastbound Countryside Drive at Gordon Randle Drive (bus stop #4347)  
Route 31A McVean will provide service to Bloomsbury Avenue along Goreway Drive between Richgrove Drive and Castlemore Road and Castlemore Road between Goreway Drive and McVean Drive. Bus stops will be reinstated along these corridors for 31A McVean service. ​

Hudson’s Bay Entrance Closure at Bramalea City Centre

Effective June 1, 2025, Hudson’s Bay at Bramalea City Centre will be permanently closed. As a result, the external entrance/exit doors will also be closed, and pedestrians will be directed to access the mall from other entrance locations.   

To ensure continued access to the mall for seniors, Brampton Transit will introduce a new temporary pick up/drop off location on Peel Centre Drive for seniors who use the Senior Shopper service.

Please refer to the map below on the new temporary pick-up and drop-off location on Peel Centre Drive which will be in effect starting Wednesday and Thursday, June 4 and 5, 2025:

Hurontario Street LRT Construction Update

Hurontario Street LRT construction is continuing to progress between  Brampton Gateway Terminal and Mississauga City Centre. Please see below for current construction impacts and bus stop conditions in the project area.

All bus stops are currently open and temporary bus stop platforms have been set up on Hurontario Street as needed. Minor delays are expected due to lane reductions.
