Project Overview

The City completed a maintenance project at Bloore pond, Brampton’s largest stormwater pond, to remove the stored dirt, sand and sediment at the bottom of the pond and replace vegetation around the pond. Stormwater ponds are constructed to temporarily store runoff so it does not cause flooding. This maintenance project will help restore the pond’s storage capacity and improve water quality leaving the pond. Stormwater pond cleanouts are essential to the City’s ongoing stormwater inspections, maintenance, and services programs.
