Brampton City Council officially proclaimed November 2025 as its first-ever Community Safety Month!

Organized by the City’s Community Safety & Well-Being Office (CSWO), Community Safety Month will run from November 1 to 30 and aligns with the national recognition of Community Safety and Crime Prevention Month by the Canada Safety Council and Ontario’s Community Safety and Crime Prevention Month Act, passed in 2024. Community Safety Month is designed to connect with residents and provide them with practical tools, tips, and resources that support safety, well-being, and stronger neighbourhoods across Brampton. Key initiatives for Community Safety Month 2025 will ​include:

  • The Proclamation of Community Safety Month and Delegations at the October 15th City Council meeting
  • A series of Community Engagements throughout the month
  • A Neighbourhood Association Meet, Mingle and Workshop on November 13th
  • Launch of the Annual Community Safety & Well-Being Survey
  • Launch of Connected Communities, the Community Safety & Well-Being Office newsletter
  • Launch of Hello Neighbour: A Guide to Safer Homes and Community​


​CSWO in the Community
​​Community safety pop-up displays taking place throughout November

Throughout November, CSWO will host a series of community safety information displays at select recreation centres, libraries, places of worship and faith-based events, and shopping malls across Brampton to engage with residents. Residents can drop by to talk with our community safety experts about their concerns, share their ideas, learn about Brampton's many community safety and well-being initiatives, and take the Community Safety & Well-Being Survey. We look forward to seeing you there!

Neighbourhood Association Meet, Mingle and Workshop

To celebrate Brampton's first ever Community Safety Month, CSWO will host a Neighbourhood Association Meet, Mingle and Workshop on November 13th. The Neighbourhood Association Meet, Mingle and Workshop is an opportunity for current Neighbourhood Association members to meet members from other associations and learn about their initiatives. This event is also open to Brampton residents who are interested in starting a ne​w Affiliated Neighbourhood Association​ in 2026.

Registration for this event is mandatory,​ and spaces are limited.​

Community Safety & Well-Being Survey
Survey launches November 1st on Let's Connect Brampton!

CSWO is launching the Annual Community Safety Survey on November 1st for the start of Community Safety Month!

The survey invites residents to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas related to safety and well-being in their neighbourhoods. Results will help identify local priorities, guide future programs and services and inform the next phase of Brampton’s Community Safety Action Plan (2028+).


Connected Communities
New ​​CSWO newsletter to raise awareness about safety and well-being initiatives

CSWO is launching a new quarterly​ newsletter to keep residents updated on community safety initiatives, upcoming events and resources from both the City and its partners. The newsletter is one of six awareness tactics outlined in the Community Safety Action Plan and will be available online and e-mailed to those who sign-up to be a Friend of the CSWO​.


Hello Neighbour: A Guide to Safer Homes and Community​
Home and property crime prevention guide offers residents practical tips to help protect their home

To coincide with Community Safety Month, CSWO will launch its newly published home and property crime prevention resource​ offering practical tips to help residents protect their homes and properties while fos​tering safer, more connected neighbourhoods. The guide will be available ​in November, ​online and at the Community Safety Month pop-up displays.
