Flags at City Hall will be lowered from sunrise to sunset on January 16, 2025 in memory of Wanita Nicol, a valued part-time Brampton Transit Service Clerk, who passed away on January 14, 2025.
Wanita joined the Transit team in November 2010, and over the years, her dedication and warm presence touched the lives of many.

Flags at City Hall and Transit Facilities will be lowered from sunrise to sunset on February 26, 2025 in memory of Keith Aprile, a dedicated and highly skilled mechanic whose hard work and expertise made him an invaluable member of the transit team.
Keith joined the Transit team in 2008.

Flags at City Hall and the Sandalwood Works Yard will be lowered from sunrise to sunset on March 11, 2025 in memory of Alex Cook.
Alex joined Public Works and Engineering in 2008 as a Labourer and later transitioned into the role of Truck Driver. He was a dedicated and highly skilled professional who was committed to his role and to serving the residents of Brampton. His hard work, kindness, and positive spirit touched many, and he will be greatly missed by all who have had the privilege of working alongside him.

Cathy was a passionate Customer Service Supervisor who served our community for 20 years.

Ivan started his career with the Transit team in 1992, as a General Serviceperson.

In Memory of Air Commodore Surjeet Singh Bhatti

Flags at the City Hall Cenotaph will be lowered May 4, 2025 from sunrise to sunset to in memory of Air Commodore Surjeet Singh Bhatti. He was a prominent advocate for veterans in Brampton and also served as the National President of the Indian Air Force Association of Canada. His funeral will be held on Sunday, May 4th.
