BRAMPTON, ON — The City of Brampton is opening applications for the 2026 Advance Brampton Fund on September 2, 2025.
About the Advance Brampton Fund
The Advance Brampton Fund is a community granting program that supports non-profit sector development and provides municipal funding to eligible Brampton-based non-profit or charitable organizations for strong project proposals that align with strategic priorities.
Since its inception in 2020, the Advance Brampton Fund has approved more than $6.1 million in funding for 559 projects that enhance the quality of life for Brampton residents by supporting innovative, community-focused programs.
Funding is aligned with the City’s priorities of Community Safety and Well-being, Arts and Culture and Recreation. Designed to strengthen community engagement, civic participation and artistic and cultural expression, the fund supports non-profit organizations through three distinct funding streams:
- New and Small Projects – Up to $5,000 for new or existing initiatives with smaller funding needs.
- Developing – Up to $12,500 in matching funds for projects that have run at least once in Brampton.
- Amplifying – Up to $25,000 in matching funds for projects that have run at least twice in Brampton.
New this year, the City is piloting a capital grant of up to $10,000 in matching funds through the new Arts and Culture Space Improvement Grant Stream. Available to eligible arts and culture organizations, this funding opportunity responds to ongoing challenges faced by artists and arts organizations resulting from increasing costs and changing dynamics in the way arts spaces are utilized. It is designed to help enhance, improve and develop creative spaces across Brampton.
