BRAMPTON, ON — The City of Brampton is inviting residents to participate in an upcoming Telephone Town Hall focused on community safety.

Date: Wednesday, July 23, 2025
Time: 7:30 to 9 pm
Residents will have the opportunity to hear directly from the City of Brampton and Peel Regional Police as they share updates on safety initiatives, address common concerns and answer questions from the community. Speakers include:
- Patrick Brown, Mayor, City of Brampton
- Regional Councillor Rowena Santos, Wards 1 and 5; Chair, Community Services Section, City of Brampton
- Regional Councillor, Michael Palleschi, Wards 2 and 6; Chair, Brampton Community Safety Advisory Committee, City of Brampton
- City of Brampton staff
- Nishan Duraiappah, Chief, Peel Regional Police
- Anthony Odoardi, Deputy Chief, Peel Regional Police
- Nick Milinovich, Deputy Chief, Peel Regional Police
- Marc Andrews, Deputy Chief, Peel Regional Police
Topics of discussion could include crime prevention, auto theft, bail reform, speeding and road safety and more. This event will allow residents to learn more about what is being done to keep Brampton safe and provide their input directly to City and Police leadership.

Join an upcoming Brampton Community Safety Advisory Committee meeting
Residents are also encouraged to attend an upcoming Brampton Community Safety Advisory Committee (BCSAC) meeting to stay involved and have their voices heard on important safety and well-being issues.
The Brampton Community Safety Advisory Committee aims to raise awareness, advise and plan meaningful actions on matters related to community safety, while serving as a resource to City Council.
This year, the Committee is expanding its schedule to host a meeting in each ward pairing, making it easier for residents to participate in important conversations about safety, right in their own neighbourhoods.
