Garba is a lively folk dance from Gujarat, India, traditionally performed during Navratri to honour the divine feminine. Known for its energetic rhythm, colourful attire and circular formations, Garba brings people together in celebration of culture and community.
This year’s event features live performances by talented local artists and a special headlining performance by internationally celebrated Garba artist Rutvi Pandya. Food vendors will offer a selection of authentic Indian cuisine, inviting attendees experience the rich flavours of India. Attendees are encouraged to wear their finest traditional Garba attire to fully immerse themselves in the celebration.
Organized in partnership with Humans for Harmony, a community group committed to fostering inclusion and unity through cultural experiences, the Community Garba is a free, family-friendly event that showcases Brampton’s multicultural community.
The City of Brampton extends sincere thanks to this year’s generous sponsors: Algoma University, Bell, Genesis Brampton and RBC.
