​​BRAMPTON, ON (July 31, 2025) – Mayor Patrick Brown’s Hockey Night in Brampton is welcoming two exciting additions to this year’s event. Celebrated broadcaster Ron MacLean and NHL legend Owen Nolan will join the lineup, as the city comes together to support the construction of Brampton’s second hospital.

Nolan, a five-time NHL All-Star and one of the league’s most dominant power forwards of his era, will lace up for the charity game. Over his 18-season NHL career, Nolan recorded more than 400 goals and 800 points, earning a reputation for his fierce competitiveness and leadership both on and off the ice.

MacLean, one of the most respected voices in Canadian sports, will also play in this year’s event, bringing his trademark insight and passion for the game to fans in Brampton. With decades at the helm of Hockey Night in Canada, MacLean’s presence adds a familiar face and a unique energy to this community-driven event.

They join an already exciting roster that includes Curtis Joseph, Mark Giordano, Taylor Raddysh, Darren Raddysh, Travis Barron, Phil Oreskovic, Blayre Turnbull, Renata Fast, Jeremy Roenick, Cody Hodgson, Terry Ryan and more, along with returning hosts Rod Black and Amrit Gill.

In 2024, Hockey Night in Brampton raised a record $14 million in support of William Osler Health System Foundation, making it the largest charity hockey game in Canadian history. Tickets for this year’s event are $25 and are available now at hockeynightbrampton.ca.

Owen Nolan

Owen Nolan, a five-time NHL All-Star, was drafted first overall by the Quebec Nordiques in 1990 and went on to play more than 1,200 NHL games. Known for his powerful shot, physical play and leadership, Nolan scored over 400 goals and tallied more than 800 points in his career. He also represented Canada internationally, helping his country secure gold at the 1997 World Championship.

Ron MacLean

Ron MacLean is one of the most recognizable figures in Canadian sports broadcasting. Best known as the host of Hockey Night in Canada, he has spent decades sharing the stories of the game and its players. A Gemini Award winner and an Officer of the Order of Canada, MacLean is celebrated for his deep hockey knowledge, quick wit and ability to connect with fans nationwide.
