Head to Chinguacousy Park for family fun, live country music and fireworks
BRAMPTON, ON (June 16, 2025) – Saddle up, Brampton! Celebrate Canada Day country style at Chinguacousy Park. This family-friendly event promises live music, delicious eats, engaging activities and a spectacular fireworks display presented by Tim Hortons.

Hosted by Jesse Jones, this year’s Canada Day main stage features local and rising stars Kat Pinhorn, Deejay T-JR, Quote The Raven, and Brampton’s own Leah Holtom, programmed by The Jones & Jones Group. The evening continues with award-winning Canadian Country artists Teigen Gayse and the JUNO and CCMA Award winning James Barker Band, followed by multiple JUNO and CCMA Award winner Dallas Smith, who will be joined by a very special guest.
Enjoy a dazzling fireworks display
End the night with a spectacular fireworks display presented by Tim Hortons! The safety of residents is the City’s top priority. Under the fireworks by-law, the sale or use of fireworks is not permitted in Brampton, with the exception of City-led events. Hand-held sparklers are permitted. Getting to and from the event
Road closures will be in effect and on-site parking is extremely limited. Residents are encouraged to walk, ride their bikes or park at alternative locations. Take advantage of the free Brampton Transit Shuttle Services from one of our four shuttle locations:
- Mount Pleasant GO Station
- Trinity Common Mall
- Sheridan College
- Gore Meadows Community Centre
The shuttle service operates every 30 minutes on July 1, from 12:00 to 10:30 pm.
To support community safety and a positive experience for all attendees, residents are encouraged to carpool or take advantage of the free shuttle services. Enforcement and Bylaw Services will be onsite to help maintain traffic flow and ensure parking regulations are followed. Vehicles parked illegally may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense to keep surrounding streets safe and accessible.

Jesse Jones
Jesse Jones is a media personality, creative leader and cultural connector known for his dynamic presence on Canadian television and beyond. He hosted the inaugural season of Bachelor in Paradise Canada (CityTV) and created and hosted The Drive on Global TV. A former co-host on ET Canada, Jesse was also part of the Canadian Screen Award–nominated Black History special FORWARD. As an ambassador for Culture Days, Jesse champions accessible cultural programming across the country. Through partnerships with leading global brands, he continues to foster experiences that inspire connection, conversation and community.
Deejay T-JR
Pronounced “tee-junior,” Deejay T-JR. is a 3-time DMC Canadian Champion and trailblazing talent in the global DJ scene. Based in Toronto, she is the first female to win three consecutive DMC Canada titles and the only woman in history to compete in all four major international DJ competitions: DMC World, IDA World, Goldie Awards and Red Bull 3Style. With over a decade of experience and a reputation for technical skill and innovation, Deejay T-JR. continues to break barriers and inspire audiences around the world.
Quote the Raven
Newfoundland and Labrador duo Quote the Raven, comprised of Jordan Coaker and Kirsten Rodden-Clarke, are known for their haunting harmonies, East Coast roots and Americana flair. With over 1.5 million streams and international tour dates across Australia, the UK and the US, the duo has earned major acclaim, including a 2022 ECMA for Contemporary Roots Recording of the Year. Their upcoming album Map the Dark has already earned multiple 2025 ECMA nominations, including Album of the Year. Their authentic storytelling and captivating live performances continue to charm audiences around the world.
Leah Holtom
Leah Holtom is an award-winning folk singer-songwriter from Brampton. Known for her heartfelt storytelling and blend of folk and country, Leah’s tender vocals and rich acoustic sound create a captivating musical experience. In 2024, she received the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award from the Ontario Arts Council for her debut single Face The Day. Her debut EP Patchwork further showcases her unique voice and thoughtful songwriting.
Teigen Gayse
Hailing from Chetwynd, BC, Teigen Gayse is one of Canadian country music’s rising stars. Named the 2023 BCCMA Female Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Interactive Artist of the Year, Teigen blends heartfelt storytelling with a modern country sound. A former competitive figure skater turned full-time musician, she studied audio engineering before launching her music career. Her recent single Better Mistake has nearly 700,000 streams, while Sleeping With Her reached #21 on Canadian Country Radio with over 1.1 million streams. Teigen’s writing credits include collaborations with Chad Kroeger, Gordie Sampson, and Patricia Conroy.
James Barker Band
Fueled by friendship, grit, and a shared love for storytelling, the band has gone from local dive bars to headlining stages across North America and Europe, amassing over 300 million global streams, 12 Gold and Platinum certifications, and the unwavering devotion of fans along the way. Their bustling catalogue has seen a string of successful tracks earning them vast achievements and acclaim including six No. 1 Canadian country radio hits, a Billboard Canada Country Chart No.1, several CCMA and CMAO awards and a JUNO Award for Country Album of the Year. Dallas Smith
Big Loud/Local Hay recording artist Dallas Smith continues to build on a legacy of genre-defying success. City of Brampton’s Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
In 2020, Brampton City Council adopted a resolution committing to Indigenous Reconciliation by responding to the Calls to Action and adopting the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. This commitment includes addressing the Calls for Justice regarding Missing and Murdered Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit people.
Since then, the City has prioritized developing an Indigenous-led Reconciliation Action Plan, strengthening relations through education, awareness and creating spaces for ancient ceremonies previously banned in Canada. Brampton continues to work closely with Indigenous partners, honouring the nation-to-nation relationship intended through the Silver Chain – Treaty of Niagara and fulfilling the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.
