City of Brampton welcomes new Chief Administrative Officer Marlon Kallideen

​BRAMPTON, ON (November 18, 2022) – The City of Brampton has welcomed Marlon Kallideen as its new permanent Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
 
Building on his 22 years of progressive municipal experience, Marlon joined the City in Realty Services in 2021, then becoming Commissioner of Legislative Services before transitioning into Community Services.

In his most recent role as Commissioner, Community Services, Kallideen led teams in multiple divisions including Performing Arts, Service Brampton, Parks and Forestry, and the Community Safety and Well-Being Office.

Prior to the City of Brampton, Marlon served the City of Vaughan in several capacities including as Commissioner of Community Services for 12 years, Executive Director for four years, and Vice President of the Vaughan Non-Profit Housing Corporation.

An innovative leader with experience in managing the complexities and demands of delivering corporate programs and City services in a large, diverse city, Marlon has a proven record of operational efficiencies and prudent fiscal management of operating and capital budgets in excess of $150 million.

In his new role as CAO, Marlon will act as the head of the City’s Leadership Team, consisting of five Commissioners, the City’s General Manager of Brampton Transit, and Brampton Fire and Emergency Services Fire Chief.

The City thanks Paul Morrison for his tireless dedication and thoughtful leadership as Interim CAO throughout the last year, leading the City through its reintegration into the workplace and through a Municipal Election. Paul will take on the role of Acting Commissioner, Legislative Services.
