A third party advertisement is a message in any broadcast, print, electronic or other medium that has the purpose of promoting, supporting or opposing: - a candidate, or - a "yes" or "no" answer to a question on the ballot

The following can become a registered third party advertiser: - an individual who is normally resident in Ontario - a corporation that carries on business in Ontario - a trade union that holds bargaining rights for employees in Ontario

No. A candidate is not eligible to file a notice of registration to be a third party advertiser.

Registered third party advertisers are subject to maximum spending limits as prescribed by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.  For more information, contact bramptonvotes@brampton.ca.  

Third party advertising does not include an advertisement for which no expense is incurred. If you do not have any expenses, you are not required to register.

Third party advertisers are required to file their notice of registration with the Clerk's Office during the registration period (May 2 - October 21, 2022). For more information and to print the required forms, please visit the Filing yo​ur Registration​​ page.

The registration period begins on May 2, 2022, and ends on October 21, 2022. For more information about requirements, click here​.

You cannot begin advertising until your registration as a third party advertiser has been certified by the Clerk.
