Overview
Brampton, one of Canada’s fastest-growing and most populous cities, is a key urban centre in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area that is known for its diversity and strong economy in manufacturing, logistics, and technology. By 2051, Brampton is projected to be a city of approximately 1 million people and 355,000 jobs, an increase of 300,000 people and 130,000 jobs from 2021. Brampton’s rapid growth and vision for sustainability demands a new perspective on how we move people and goods throughout the city.
The Brampton Mobility Plan (BMP) is a comprehensive, long-range transportation master plan that outlines the development of infrastructure, services, and operational practices to meet the city's needs through to 2051.
Developed through extensive public engagement and detailed technical analysis, the BMP builds on key guiding documents such as the Brampton Plan and the Brampton 2040 Vision. It replaces the 2015 Transportation Master Plan with recommendations that reflect Brampton’s growth and evolving priorities.
