The Brampton Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) is the City of Brampton’s official tourism entity dedicated to enhancing tourism, attracting visitors and driving growth.
The BTDC will work closely with both the City of Brampton and industry stakeholders to strategically allocate funds, develop promotion campaigns and attract business, sport and cultural events to boost local tourism.
The BTDC has four key objectives:
- Engagement: Collaborating with tourism industry stakeholders to gather feedback and inform decisions regarding the use of MAT funds.
- Promotion: Researching and implementing promotional campaigns to attract visitors, businesses and events to Brampton.
- Development: Pursuing tourism product developments to improve the visitor experience.
- Attraction: Attracting business, sport, and cultural events that will draw new visitors to the City.

Are you passionate about shaping Brampton's tourism future? The Brampton Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) is inviting expressions of interest from individuals and businesses to join the Brampton Tourism Advisory Committee.
About the Committee
The BTDC Advisory Committee provides strategic guidance, expert advice, and community insight to help promote Brampton as a premier tourism destination. Members will contribute to tourism product development, marketing initiatives, and partnerships that support Brampton's visitor economy.
Who Should Apply?
The BTDC is looking for 8–12 members from a diverse range of business sectors, including:
- Hospitality and accommodations
- Arts, culture, and heritage
- Attractions and activity-based businesses
- Sports-based businesses
- Retail and culinary
- Transportation and travel services
- Economic development and business areas
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience working in Brampton
- Knowledge of Brampton as a tourism destination
- Availability to participate in meetings and working sessions
- A commitment to collaboration and community engagement
Term & Commitment
Members will be appointed for a one-year term, beginning September 2025 and ending December 31, 2026, with the possibility of renewal. The committee will meet at least six times per year.
