In Greek Mythology, Syrinx was a mountain nymph chased by the god Pan to the edge of a river. In order to save herself, she pled to the water nymphs. They answered her plea by changing her into a cluster of reeds. Pan takes solace by gathering the reeds, forming them into an instrument and plays it.MediaArtist InformationThere are two sides to Don Dickson’s sculpting personality; the abstract and the musical sound.
