I've re-imagined traditional south Asian/ indo-Caribbean garlands that are used in moments of celebration and adornment, to specifically honor queer and trans south Asians/ indo-Caribbean kin who are so deserving of their flowers. I specifically blend the use of traditional marigold garlands with non-traditional elements like hibiscus and cowrie shells to honor the connections we have to these elements across homelands and diasporas globally.
