Fire Service and Inspection Request​​

  1. Open the Fire Service and Inspection Request Application
  2. ​Complete application, including Letter of Authorization​ and submit
  3. A Fire Prevention Staff member will contact the applicant to process payment.​

​​​​​​​​Fire Code

The Fire Code is a regulation made under the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 consisting of a set of minimum requirements respecting fire safety within and around existing buildings and facilities. The owner is responsible for complying with the Fire Code, except where otherwise specified. The municipal fire department enforces the Fire Code. The regulation may be accessed on e-Laws.

The publication 2015 Fire Code Compendium, which includes the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997, the 2007 Fire Code as amended to January 1, 2015, and the Fire Code Supplement FCS-1, is available for purchase through the Publications Ontario website at Publications Ontario or by phone at 1-800-668-9938.​
