Sponsorships can be an important revenue stream for organizations, and can help propel corporate and foundation relations. Sponsorships are however different than fee-for-service or donations. What does "sponsorship" mean? What does an effective sponsorship partnership look like? Where do you find sponsors and how do you keep them engaged? In this session, you will be introduced to the exciting and promising world of sponsorship planning, strategy and promotion.
About the Instructor
Krishan Mehta, PhD is the Vice-President, Engagement, University Advancement at Ryerson University as well as the Academic Coordinator and Instructor, Fundraising Management at The Chang School, Ryerson University. Krishan was a major contributor to the achievements of the Make Your Mark campaign, which raised more than $200 million for student awards, research, programs and capital projects. Krishan was also involved in the strategic review of Alumni Relations undertaken in 2016.
Krishan earned his PhD in 2016 from the University of Toronto, examining immigrant philanthropy and the role of charitable giving in the making of the new Canadian establishment. Krishan is also the immediate past-president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Toronto Chapter.
Brampton's Non-Profit Workshop Series
Brampton's Non-Profit Workshops are designed to help strengthen the non-profit sector in Brampton, led by facilitators from The Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University. Come learn at these two-hour workshops about the basics of grant writing, conflict management, sponsorships and non-profit basics like how to run an AGM. Registration is required.
