This page provides information for anyone who is interested in becoming a candidate in the 2018 Municipal Election. This page will be updated as new information becomes available. 
 

Offices to be ​E​​lected

​The following offices will be elected in the 2018 Municipal Election:

Peel Regio​na​l Chair*: 

  • one to be elected by all voters of the Region of Peel 
     

Regional Coun​c​​illors: 

  • one to be elected for Wards 1 and 5
  • one to be elected for Wards 2 and 6
  • one to be elected for Wards 3 and 4
  • one to be elected for Wards 7 and 8
  • one to be elected for Wards 9 and 10

​City Coun​cillors:​ 
  • one to be elected for Wards 1 and 5
  • one to be elected for Wards 2 and 6
  • one to be elected for Wards 3 and 4
  • one to be elected for Wards 7 and 8
  • one to be elected for Wards 9 and 10

Peel District School Board: 

  • one to be elected for Wards 1 and 5

  • one to be elected for the Region of Peel
 Conseil scolai​re catholique MonAvenir (formerly Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud)*** 
  • one to be elected for Brampton, Caledon, Guelph, and the municipalities in the Counties of Dufferin and Wellington

​**Nominations for Conseil scolaire Viamonde will be accepted by the City of Mississauga. 

***Nominations for Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir will be accepted by the City of Brampton.

Nomination Package​

Candidates will be required to file their Nomination Forms and supporting documents at the City Clerk's Office during the Nomination Period. More information, as well as the required forms will be available in the Spring of 2018.​​​​
