Previous Work:
The Zoning Issues and Analysis Report was completed in August 2017. The report provides a summary of the Provincial, Regional and local policies that need to be considered when developing the new Zoning By-law. Based on the policy review, a review of other modern Zoning By-laws in Ontario and initial consultation, the Report identifies a list of issues and items to be addressed through this project.
A series of Technical Papers have also been prepared in draft. The Technical Papers examine a wide range of specific issues in detail, to inform development of the new Zoning By-law. The Technical Papers address certain key policy and technical topics as identified in the Zoning Issues and Analysis Report.
A Zoning Strategy Report has been prepared in draft and is dated August 2018. The Zoning Strategy Report builds upon the Zoning Issues and Analysis Report and Technical Papers and identifies a work plan for writing the new Zoning By-law. The Strategy ensures that the new Zoning By-law will be in conformity with the 2006 Official Plan policy, that it will be modern and easy to use, and that it will be aligned with other ongoing studies.
