Service and Information Update

Temporary changes to City services and programs

The City of Brampton continues to aim to provide the best service possible, while prioritizing employees’ and residents’ health and safety.

Due to current resource levels, the City is temporarily adjusting its services and programs until further notice.

Brampton Recreation

Winter Registration Sessional Programming

The City of Brampton’s Recreational Winter Registration Sessional Programming will be postponed from January 3 to January 17, meaning programs will run for 8 weeks instead of 10 weeks.

Staff have begun communicating with registered participants and will apply a pro-rated refund with an option to cancel.

Anyone who would like to request a refund or cancel can submit a request at recreationadmin@brampton.ca

Rentals, Outdoor Amenities and Drop-in Programming

As permitted by Peel Public Health and following Provincial regulations, our Recreation Centres still remain fully open for rentals, drop-in programs (swim, sports, skate, fitness etc.), as well as our outdoor amenities.

Brampton Transit

Effective December 30, 2021, Brampton Transit will be operating at reduced service levels until further notice. Select terminal hours of operation may be adjusted as well.

For the most up-to-date route schedule and hours of operation information, customers are encouraged to call Brampton Transit’s Contact Centre at 905.874.2999. For regular service updates, visit www.bramptontransit.com or follow @bramptontransit on Twitter.

Brampton Transit COVID-19 Safety Measures

When travelling, individuals who use Brampton Transit are reminded to wear a tight-fitting mask on the bus and at terminals, and avoid lowering masks for eating or drinking while commuting unless it is a medical emergency.

Riders are also reminded to carry their own personal disinfectant when travelling, such as hand sanitizer or wipes, wash their hands often, and cough or sneeze into their elbow.

An enhanced cleaning and sanitizing schedule remains in effect. It is Brampton Transit’s goal to disinfect all hard surfaces, operator compartments and seats every 48 hours. The majority of buses are currently sanitized every 24 hours. Facilities and terminals that have hard surfaces are wiped down and sanitized on a daily basis.
