City of Brampton reopens washrooms at select major parks today, June 19

BRAMPTON, ON (June 19, 2020) – As part of the City of Brampton’s reopening and recovery plan, washrooms at select major parks in Brampton reopen today, June 19.

The City takes community health and safety seriously, and as parks have reopened in our community, washrooms are the next step to ensure residents have access to this necessary amenity.

Washrooms will be open Monday to Friday from 4 to 9 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 9 PM, at the following parks:

• Batsman Park
• Chinguacousy Park
• Creditview Sandalwood Park
• Eldorado Park
• Gage Park
• McCandless Park
• Teramoto Park

Washrooms will be staffed with attendants to ensure that they are cleaned frequently, and signage will be posted to encourage residents to follow health and safety measures.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

The City urges residents to carry personal disinfectant, such as hand sanitizer or wipes, wash their hands often, cough or sneeze into their elbow, and wear non-medical masks. The City of Brampton is working closely with its partners at Peel Public Health and the Brampton Emergency Management Office to continue to monitor risks. Visit www.brampton.ca/covid19 for regular updates, and call 311 to reach the City of Brampton and the Region of Peel at any time.
