City of Brampton breaks ground on Williams Parkway Fire Campus

BRAMPTON, ON (December 3, 2019) – Today, Mayor, Councillors and the City of Brampton hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Williams Parkway Fire Campus.
 
Expected to open in 2022, the state-of-the-art, centralized facility will be home to Brampton’s Fire Headquarters, Prevention Division, new Fire Station 203, an Emergency Operations Centre, Emergency Measures Office, and indoor and outdoor Fire Training facilities. 
 
Highlights include:
• More than 70,000 sq. ft, of space to manage, train, educate, conduct research and develop new initiatives in areas of fire prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery
• A live fire training building available all year round and a second building that will allow for new recruits and existing Firefighters to train simultaneously
• A memorial and reflection space to remember and honour Brampton firefighters who paid the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives while protecting our residents
• The City is targeting LEED “Silver” and Fitwel building certifications
