Summer fun in the City

​​​​​​BRAMPTON, ON – Summer has arrived! Make the most of it with the City of Brampton’s great summer amenities and programs. Watch for the new Summer Fun brochure, available soon at all City recreation centres. Highlights include:

Summer Camps, July 3 – September 1
Kids can stay active and keep learning all summer with a huge variety of day camps for children and youth age 4-17. New camp options have just been added due to popular demand! Before and after care is available for an additional fee.

A camp lunch program is now available at select locations. Healthy and delicious lunches for kids; affordable, hassle-free mornings for parents. Register for a meal plan at any recreation centre or online by the Thursday before the camp begins.

Play in the Park, July 3 – August 31
Kids age 6 to 13 can visit a local park and play organized games and sports, free of charge, with City of Brampton program leaders. Program is available on weekdays at 9:30-11:30 am at select locations.

Summer Movies Under the Stars, June 23-August 31
Bring your blanket or lawn chair to FREE family-friendly outdoor movie screenings at Chinguacousy Park, Mount Pleasant Village Square, Century Gardens and Chris Gibson Recreation Centres. Movies will also be shown indoors at South Fletcher’s Sportsplex. Games and activities will be available before the show. Bring your own snacks or purchase some onsite. Professor’s Lake beach and boathouse, open daily June 30 – September 3
Enjoy a day at the beach at Brampton’s own 65-acre spring-fed lake. Supervised swimming area, waterslide, and boat rentals available, weather and conditions permitting.

Chinguacousy Park, summer amenities open daily June 30 – September 3
Brampton’s destination park offers a range of summer fun activities, including a petting zoo and pony rides, mini golf, paddleboats, carousel and train ride, spray pad, and playground.

Eldorado Park Outdoor Pool, open daily June 30 – September 3
Spend an afternoon at Brampton’s only outdoor pool, surrounded by natural forest on the banks of the Credit River.

Community Bike Rides, May to September
Residents and visitors are invited to join free cycling tours, led by citizen volunteer members of the Brampton Cycling Advisory Committee. Explore Brampton on your bicycle, meet other cyclists and enjoy a free refreshment. Register for a 5km or 15km route, depending on your comfort level. Bring your bike, helmet and a sense of adventure.
