Prepare for spring at the sixth annual Seedy Saturday and Garden Show

BRAMPTON, ON – Despite the cold temperatures, spring is less than three weeks away, and this weekend’s “Seedy Saturday and Garden Show” will give green thumbs a head start on the warmer weather.

The event will take place Saturday, March 10 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Century Gardens Recreation Centre Auditorium. There will be five seminars held throughout the day:

10:10-10:50 am          Growing Gardens from Seeds in Small Spaces                   

11-11:45 am               Unusual and Interesting Plants for your Veggie Garden      
       
12-12:45 pm               Bee Friendly Pollinator Gardens                   
       
1-1:45 pm                   Butterflies, Bugs and other Beasts and their Lives   

2-2:45 pm                   The Modern Environmental Gardens of Singapore              

Receive gardening information, share, swap and buy seeds, create gardening communities, take in exhibits and presentations and visit the Seedy Café. There will also be a Kids Zone!

Admission is free and the first 100 visitors will receive a free plant.

Presented by the City of Brampton and the Brampton Horticultural Society, Seedy Saturday and
Garden Show is supported by Seeds of Diversity, a Canadian volunteer
organization that conserves the biodiversity and traditional knowledge of food crops and garden
plants.
