• Over the last five years, the City and its partners – including conservation authorities, the Region of Peel, school boards and the development industry – have planted, on average, 43,000 trees each year in Brampton.

One Million Trees Program

In February 2020, Brampton Council approved the Brampton One Million Trees Program - a framework for the City and its partners to increase tree planting initiatives and realize the target of one million trees by 2040.

Everyone has an important role to play in helping Brampton achieve its one million new tree goal, whether it’s the City planting on its own properties, or residents, businesses or City partners participating in tree planting events, spreading the word about the importance of planting trees and the Brampton One Million Tree program, and/or donating resources to support tree planting across the city.
