Celebrate My Brampton Day at Brampton Library with the City of Brampton and CBC

BRAMPTON, ON (March 14, 2022) – CBC is celebrating the city and bringing My Brampton Day to Springdale Branch Library on March 30 in partnership with the City of Brampton, Brampton Library and the Arts, Culture and Creative Industry Development Agency (ACCIDA).

Schedule of Events
  • 11 am - Unveil CBC Toronto commissioned art sculpture by Brampton artist Abiola Idowu
  • 12 pm - An interactive art activation with Abiola Idowu and co-presented with ACCIDA
  • 5:30 pm - An interactive CBC Toronto listening session
  • 7:30 pm - All Roads Lead to Brampton, a panel discussion hosted by Nav Nanwa of CBC Toronto’s Brampton Bureau


FREE Live Window Mural Artist Activation with Abiola Idowu
In partnership with the City of Brampton’s Arts, Culture and Creative Industry Development Agency (ACCIDA), join local artist Abiola Idowu for the opportunity to turn the library into your canvas. Participants are invited to sketch and draw on the large glass windows in the library. All ages welcome, no experience necessary.

CBC Toronto created a special Brampton Bureau in the fall of 2021. A team of dedicated reporters and producers have been on the ground in Brampton sharing the stories most important to the local community.
