And we’re looking for a Concert Curator to help get us there. Is that you?

The City of Brampton is bringing Brampton back to the North by Northeast (NXNE) Music Festival on June 17. Led by the Arts, Culture and Creative Industry Development Agency (ACCIDA), we’re looking for a Concert Curator to help get us there.
  • Are you a local concert promoter?
  • Do you have experience curating festivals and events?
  • Are you quick on your toes and do you thrive under pressure?
  • Do you know what’s up in the Brampton music scene?

We’re looking for an individual or group to curate a special evening concert at the 2022 NXNE Festival that showcases the best and brightest Brampton talent to light up the stage. After two years of virtual performances and cancelled gigs, it’s time to dim the lights, turn up the volume and show the GTA just what we’re made of.

Here’s how it will work
If you’re a local music curator or concert planner, tell us about yourself and why you’re the right person to highlight local talent. The successful candidate(s) will take the lead and work their magic to create a stellar show that highlights Brampton talent at this year’s NXNE festival in June.

You will work to find three to five local musicians to take the stage as part of curated event and paid opportunity. Don’t worry, you will have a lot of resources available to help you do so, the event will be widely promoted and you will be paid for your time and efforts too.

Along the way, you will also use your influence in the music scene to raise awareness of ACCIDA as a resource to local artists, continue to build Brampton’s identity as a Canadian hotspot for music and culture, and help tell our creative story.

About the NXNE Music Festival
As a music enthusiast and someone keenly involved in local arts and culture, you should already know this, but just in case – NXNE is a discovery music festival focused on promoting emerging musicians, supporting Toronto’s amazing live music venues and connecting audiences with new acts they need to hear.

Interested?
Great! Learn more about this amazing opportunity at accida.ca and apply by Friday, April 22.
