BRAMPTON, ON – The following is a statement by Mayor Linda Jeffrey:
Policy Advisor Sriram Raman is leaving my office, effective early September.
I would like to thank Sriram for his valuable service to me and the people of Brampton. He has helped engage new stakeholders, businesses and governments from across Canada and around the world in partnering with the City of Brampton and helping elevate our city’s reputation and transforming it into a burgeoning innovation hub.
Sriram has worked tirelessly on moving Brampton’s university file forward. Sriram and members of my office have worked closely with the team in the CAO’s office and together they have developed a partnership with Ryerson University that will fulfill a campaign commitment of bringing a university to Brampton.
I wish Sriram all the best as he moves forward as a Policy Advisor to the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of International Trade
No decision has been made on a replacement at this time.
