Brampton Transit provides you with
the results of the public engagement regarding the Route 53. We had a
great turnout for the PIC last Thursday with over 130 residents casting their
vote for their preferred option. We also received a further 79 votes online.
Overall, we are very pleased with the level of engagement.
The table below outlines the
total number of votes for each option. As you can see, Option 4 was the clear
winner with 83% of the residents preferring to go back to the original route
alignment. We have attached a copy of the PIC boards for your reference.

Based on this result, Brampton
Transit is recommending to implement the Option 4 routing effective October 31st.
This will allow us sufficient time to make the necessary schedule adjustments
and also help communicate this change to the area residents.
Again, we would like to thank
you for your input and support of this process. Please let us know if you have
any other questions or concerns.
