Service and Information Update: Family Day in the City of Brampton

​On Monday, February 20, Brampton City Hall will be closed for Family Day. A number of City services will be unavailable or will operate under reduced service levels. Residents will not be able to apply in person for marriage licences, pay parking fines or apply for permits during this time. For online options please visit www.brampton.ca

Several services will continue to operate normally, including: Fire and Emergency Services and City of Brampton By-law Enforcement.

Transit Services

Brampton Transit will provide Sunday/Holiday Service on Monday, February 20, and Transit stores will be closed.

On Monday, February 20, recreation centres throughout the City of Brampton will be offering fun programs the whole family can enjoy. Residents are invited to participate in swimming, skating, shinny hockey, family fitness programs, and a variety of other activities. A nominal fee may apply.

Chinguacousy Park will host a range of family-friendly activities on February 20, from 10 am – 4 pm. This year’s theme is Canada’s 150th birthday celebration. Activities will include skating, tubing, skiing and snowboarding (weather and conditions permitting). Adding to the fun will be Mountie and hockey player stilt walkers, interactive ice sculpting, jugglers (on and off the ice), photo booth, inflatable games and wagon rides. A highlight of the day’s events will be the official grand opening ceremony for the skating trail at 12:30 pm.

Brampton Library

Brampton Library's Gore Meadows, Four Corners, Mount Pleasant Village and South Fletcher's Branches are open on Monday, February 20 from 10 am – 5 pm.

Enjoy special free programs including the hilarious comedy and dazzling magic of Bert's Magic Show and a fun-filled birdhouse making activity with Our Feathered Friends.

Cyril Clark and Chinguacousy (Civic Centre) Branches will be closed on Family Day.
