Welcome to SBEC’s new webpage specifically designed for business owners within the creative sector. In order to compete for talent in the regional and international labour market, Brampton can improve its competitive advantage through healthier and more vibrant cultural and creative industries. A strong creative sector helps to drive productivity and economic growth through knowledge based activities (R&D; commercialization of ideas.) A vibrant arts and culture scene creates a unique destination.
Brampton City Council is committed with a five-year economic development plan to pursue and promote the development of a creative economy in the city. Areas of focus include cultivating entrepreneurship.
This page is under construction in 2013; please check back regularly for additional resources for both Arts & Culture ventures and Knowledge-Based ventures, or contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
