Emergency Services Award of Valour

Definition

Recognition will be given to an individual, or individuals, who voluntarily risked their own life/lives while performing a heroic act to save the life of another person.

A citizen of Brampton must have performed the heroic act, or an individual from another municipality must have performed the act within the City of Brampton.

Eligibility

  1. The nominees will be reviewed and recommended by staff from the Brampton Fire & Emergency Services Department, Peel Regional Police and Peel Paramedics, as appropriate.
  2. The nominee must be a resident of Brampton, or have performed the act within the City of Brampton.
  3. The act must have taken place within the calendar year prior to the end of the nomination window.
