Züm road work construction includes the installation of queue jump lanes along each BRT corridor (Queen Street, Main Street and Steeles Avenue) as well as landscaping, utility relocation and associated boulevard work. Farside bus bays, station stop pads and Züm shelters will also be installed at key intersections within Brampton along each corridor.
The Züm Main Street road work construction between Sandalwood Parkway and Ray Lawson Boulevard is nearly complete. For more information on the Main Street construction, click here.
In October 2011, road work construction between Kennedy Road and Finch Avenue starts along Steeles Avenue. The Züm Steeles Avenue line, which is scheduled to begin operating in the Fall of 2012, will run between the new Shoppers World Terminal and Humber College.
During the construction period, farside bus bays, station stop pads and Züm shelters will be installed along Steeles Avenue at the following intersections:
- Kennedy Road
- Rutherford Road
- West Drive
- Bramalea Road
- Torbram Road
- Airport Road
- Gorway Drive
- Finch Avenue
