Final Tax Bill
Final taxes are billed around the middle of each year after the budgets for the Region and City have been approved and the Province of Ontario has set the education tax rate. Final taxes for each property are based on the assessed value and the combined tax rates of the City, Region and Province. After calculating the total taxes for the year, the amount levied by the interim billing is deducted and the outstanding amount is the final tax bill.
