The City of Brampton has carried out a Class Environmental Assessment for improvements to Torbram Road from Queen Street to the South City Limit.  In order to best address operational deficiencies and the need for additional north-south capacity in the area, a number of alternatives were examined as part of the study, including the potential widening of Torbram Road to six through lanes, cross-sectional elements, intersection improvements, traffic operations, and the overall impact of such improvements on the social, cultural and natural environments.
