Project Details - Schedule C
The City of Brampton has carried out a Class Environmental Assessment for improvements to Torbram Road from Father Tobin Road to Mayfield Road. In order to best address operational deficiencies and the need for additional north-south capacity in the area, a number of alternatives were examined as part of the study including the potential widening of Torbram Road to four through lanes with a centre left turn lane, cross-sectional elements, intersection improvements and traffic operations, and overall impact of such improvements on social, cultural and natural environments.
The study was carried out in accordance with the planning and design process for Schedule ‘C’ projects as outlined in the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
