Project: Class Environmental Assessment
Status: EA Complete

Project Details - Schedule C

The City of Brampton has carried out a Class Environmental Assessment for improvements to Sandalwood Parkway East from Airport Road to Dixie Road. In order to best address operational deficiencies and the need for additional east-west transportation capacity in the area, a number of alternatives were examined as part of the study including the potential widening of Sandalwood Parkway to six lanes, cross-sectional elements, intersection improvements and traffic operations, and the overall impact of such improvements on the social, cultural and natural environments.

This study was carried out in accordance with the planning and design process for Schedule ‘C’ projects as outlined in the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
