Project Details - Schedule C

The City of Brampton has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment Study of Intermodal Drive between  the CN Rail Bridge and Airport Road to address operational deficiencies and the need for additional east-west capacity in the area. This study will be carried out in accordance with the planning and design process for Schedule ‘C’ projects as outlined in the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. As part of this study, a number of alternatives will be examined as part of the study including the potential widening of Intermodal Drive to four lanes, cross-sectional elements, intersection improvements including traffic operations and signalization, and the overall impact of such improvements on the social, cultural and natural environments.
