Brampton is Canada’s second fastest growing and 11th largest city, and the City takes great pride in its diverse community, culture and heritage. People from around the world have come to live, work, play and pray in Brampton and are as intrinsic to the health of the City as our Air, Land, Water and Energy resources.
For the City of Brampton to truly Grow Green, it will take the coordinated efforts of the City and its residents, businesses and community groups to be good environmental stewards. Volunteering for community clean up days, planting a wildflower garden on your front lawn, walking (instead of driving) to the corner store, carpooling and understanding environmental issues are just a few ways in which we all can make a difference and improve Brampton’s environment.
To help get started, the City and its partners have a host of programs that introduce residents and business to sustainability initiatives.
