Emergency Preparedness Week
Sunday, May 01 2011, 12:00

Emergency Preparedness Week is the first week of May each year. It is a national event coordinated by Public Safety Canada, to promote, educate and bring about awareness concerning emergency management planning and personal preparedness.
Brampton Emergency Measures staff together with Brampton Community Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV) provide information to the public about the risks in the community, and promote personal preparedness and some of the work that local governments do in planning for emergencies.
Reducing the risks and being ready for a disaster will increase and strengthen not just individual and family preparedness but build stronger community resilience to emergencies.
Visit our section on personal preparedness for more information.
