CERV Activities
A number of CERV have taken the BEM (Basic Emergency Management) training that is being offered several times during the year in conjunction with the Region of Peel. This two-day training session is recognized as Provincial core training in emergency management and is available to CERV members at no charge. Contact Brampton Emergency Measures if you wish to be placed on the waiting list or for additional information.
Note that the Brampton Emergency Measures Office will identify those areas where the City would request CERV support; however, any CERV member is welcome to approach their Coordinating Committee members with ideas around participation in other Brampton-based events that may be appropriate.
The mandate of the CERV Coordinating Committee is to identify opportunities for CERV engagement and training of members. At the Emergency Measures Office, we identify opportunities where we require CERV support for our program and make efforts to provide periodic training for the members. If you have comments on how to better engage the CERV members, please contact us.
